21 Rescue – Trowa, Dorothy

"What amazing luck you happened by," Dorothy said when Trowa closed the hood of her car.

"I never thought you would be so generous to help me," she continued, "considering what I did to your boyfriend during the war."

"He's not my boyfriend," Trowa said, wiping the grease off his hands with a tatty rag, "and I resent your lowly opinion of me."

"Tell me what I owe you," Dorothy said, clutching her purse, flushing slightly under his gaze.

Trowa raised his hand slowly and stretched his index finger out to his cheek; for his snarkily raised eyebrow and the sparkle in his eyes, Dorothy found the situation too amusing to refuse her saviour that one kiss.


   
22 Courtesies – Quatre, Lady Une

"You are looking especially lovely tonight," Quatre told Lady Une when the butler had taken her coat.

She smiled and shook her head; while she had taken care to look like a woman rather than a function, the occasion was formal in nature.

"It is thanks to our generous benefactor that the big fire at Preventers Headquarters was only a minor obstacle," she replied, "and I am honoured to be invited into your home for dinner, Mister Winner."

"Please— Quatre. The honour is all mine," the Winner heir said with a princely smile and gently kissed her hand.


   
23 Teenage Crush 1 – Wu Fei, Mariemaia

"You can make this all go away," Mariemaia said in a sugary voice, "if you meet my very simple demand."

"You are fifteen, Maia," Wu Fei said through clenched teeth, "so even if I were attracted to you, which I'm not, it's not going to happen."

"Then I'll just send this picture of you 'tending to yourself' in an office bathroom stall to all your colleagues," she sighed, hovering her thumb over her cell's O.K. button.

"You are playing with fire," he said, but leaned over to give her a quick kiss on the cheek – which, by a swift turn of the girl's head, she managed to manipulate into what she thought should be named a Walloon Kiss.

Mariemaia watched Wu Fei leave, grinning as she noted to herself "first base secured, three more to go".


   
24 Ease – Sally, Howard

"Are you sure about those tacky umbrellas?"

"Don't be silly, Sally," Howard said with a grin, "everybody loves paper parasols."

Sally glanced nervously around the karaoke bar; Lucrezia's hind party and Zechs' stag party would arrive any moment now.

"You did a mighty fine job," Howard said and pecked her on the cheek, "so relax and have a mojito."

He made a happy pirouette; after his first twirl he handed her a cocktail, and he finished his second by putting an orange paper parasol in her hair.


   
25 Teenage Crush 2 – Wu Fei, Mariemaia

"Maia," Wu Fei said, his voice trembling with anger, "as if you stalking me into the restroom and shoving your tongue in my mouth has not gone far enough – you have reached the end of my patience!"

Mariemaia —who had moments ago feigned a dizzy spell, thrown herself into Wu Fei's arms, and planted his hand on her scarcely clad breast— slapped him in the face.

"You will give me what I want," she yelled, "or we'll see who's in trouble when I tell my mother that you took advantage of her innocent underage daughter!"

"We'll see, indeed," he said, raising the hand that had been sitting in his pocket; it was holding a tiny silver memo-speaker.

Angry and flushed, Mariemaia slapped him in the face again, then kissed him passionately on the lips – and ran off.
